Christmas Prep

Davis had his big Christmas singing and party at school last week. He was more interested in the girl behind him and her singing and signing than following the teacher. Not bad for a 2 year old though.
I have been spotted by him in this pic but after a quick visit he returns to the group and sings a bit.
Having some snack time
Sitting with Daddy
Singing jingle bells with Mimi and the other kids
A quick family photo, it makes me laugh b/c he's doing his squinty eyes.

Beach

We went to the beach to see Ty's parents and some fam. I LOVE the beach in October, so perfect. We had a great time.
We got to check out the new Bears at the Beach store, it moved to Watercolor. It's a great place and D loved getting a sneak peek at Thomas.
Beautiful weather on Saturday.
Davis and Aunt Katie doing some good coloring...

D and Pappy at Modica.
A little cloudier on Sunday, but still beautiful.
Davis was "purchasing" his muffin from Charlie @ Modica.
D and Hanner getting some playing-on-green time at Seaside. Uncle Clint (or Quick as D called him) in the background.

Daddy's Bday and such

Davis is playing with his new-to-him vintage block set (thank you Hanner) and loves to build "big big towas" (towers). His face cracks me up in this pic. (Yes that's a paci, don't judge).

Ty and D having a little wrestling time. I don't get involved, I think too much about the dirt that will result.
Here D looks all grown up an old (and a little like a girl...)
Ty's birthday was the 18th. D made a card for him with lots of stickers.
Blowing out the candles on the banana cake (thanks Mimi) and yes there are 2 pieces misssing, again, don't judge!
Lastly, D's preschool class had a visit from the fire department, he LOVED it. He enjoyed his coloring book and stickers. Here he's trying to assemble his paper fire truck. Also displaying his googley-eyed pumpkin artwork. It will be in the Louvre next week.

Work and fun

These first two are of work Ty and I accomplished over Labor Day, Late post I know.
I was clearing out the garden of our summer plants and Ty uncovered this snake by the shed. Have I mentioned ever how much he loves snakes. I'm willing to overlook it because he will rescue me from them.
Here's my cleared out garden, it's "fall look", and Ty playing with the snake in the background.
Hanner and Pappy came for a few days to help with some projects, and go to a Braves' game.
D really liked it, we were there for 11 innings!
Ok, so he didn't watch the game the WHOLE time, but he had fun.
The crew
Removed old siding from the back of the garage and added a new door (replaced existing one).
Shed is 99% finished, just needs doors (almost finished) hung and paint!!
We had a our big garage door replaced too. I was SO excited about it. It's nice and lightweight. I promise to post an "after" pic soon, I forgot that part...
The back garage door threshold needed some modifying....
D got in some good golf
...and mowing. What a helper!

Downtime

We went on a drive and ended up at Serenbe. I always enjoy a visit.
The weather was beautiful and we ate OUTSIDE at the Blue Eyed Daisy.
D got some good fountain time.

My only questions are "Who are these people that live here, and what do they do?" And can someone please tell me where they shop for groceries. If you have ever been there, you understand.

Big Stuff

After our return from Montana, Davis met his preschool teacher. Here we are on our way to meet Mrs. Owens.
Davis also has acquired a new love of baseball, wonder where he got that from? Playing in your diaper only is the way to go.
On D's first day of preschool. It's 2 days a week, he cries when we pick him up. That's good, right?

The bucket is a big as he is!
On another note, we had this large tire show up on our door step at 2:30 in the morning after a knock on the door. I think whoever was rolling this 150lb+ thing got tired of trying to keep it upright and our doorstep looked like a good place to leave it. So if you know anyone who might be looking for one, let us know! Davis got a kick out of it.
