Shed

I know you are dying for a shed update so....

Here's Ty and our neighbor Tom (sweet guy who worked Ty to death laying our sod and lets us borrow his tiller every year).
And for a consolation, here is a baby in the bathtub picture.

Wasn't that exciting?

Pix Post

Aaron and Nancy (My step-brother and his wife) were here with their son Quinn who is 9 days younger than D. They flew in from Montana and we headed to the beach. The boys did really pretty well together. D had trouble sharing at first, but he hung in there.
They were hilarious together, Quinn is super with his words, like "water", he spoke very clearly and Davis would say "uh". Funny.
Isn't he cute? I told Nancy she should leave Quinn here, she declined.
We could hardly get the boys to the beach because they kept getting distracted by things, like the road....
He is so old!
He loved playing in the sand.
I love the beach in the winter, I'm weird that way.
Walking to Modica in Seaside for breakfast.
Rugby player?
Thanks for the help, Daddy. It's hard to wipe your nose with sandy hands.
D is such a kisser, is that bad?
Dad hanging out with D and Quinn
Death grip kissers. Again, is that a problem?
We went to the Children's Museum in Atlanta and had a lot of fun. I was freaked about germs, but I prayed for patience....and health. Davis loved it.
We "gardened",
Played with sand....
So as many of you know, it snowed on Friday. I'm sure that Aaron and Nancy loves coming to the south for vacation and seeing snow, so different from Montana...

Here's the shed, faring well
And our lovely winter landscape. Really, I completely adore days like this, cold, gray, hot tea etc. I guess it's because it never looks like this.
Here are my leeks in the garden...
And this is the next morning, beautiful sunny skies!
D got out and played in the snow or "no!" as he called it.
Ty with the boys
D and I made snow balls. (If you look closely you will see some battle wounds on my hand from saving my camera during a little spill I took, nice huh?)
It was so nice to have the visitors and the snow, the brown grass is all I can see now, and D is SO bored without Quinn. But I will look on the bright side and know that we see snow rarely and that makes it fun and... Hanner and Pappy will be here soon so we won't be bored for long.

Reading

D loves to read! I am so glad (I know I have mentioned this before) but I couldn't be any happier about it. "Ba-pa" is a favorite reader at this point.
Grammy's pretty good too.
On a completely different subject... this was December
This is 6 weeks later.... does anyone else think my hair grow fast? Oh I can't wait for a trim. Not for another week though....

SNOW, sort of...

Hey Mamma, what's this white stuff?
You gotta watch out for that global warming thing.

Smooch!

Angel, Isobel and others of the Parker/Summerour clan visited over the weekend. D is big into giving kisses with a pucker face so he thought it only appropriate to start with Angel
Then moved on to unsuspecting Isobel
and lastly tried to plant one on Goldie, the golden retriever.
He later decided that patting her was an acceptable option.
Angel also got in some good "read-to-youngsters" time.
Oh, and D tried to wear her boots...but that's a whole different story.

New Post, New Year

We had a fantastic December, a great end to 2009. Dad and Lynn visited for a couple weeks. We had lots of fun, lots of laughs, lots of reading to D.
Here Ty and D are reading a Northern Tool and Equipment catalog, Harvard bound obviously.
Christmas came early for D, on his new four wheeler from Montana. He is such a boy.
Dad had his 69th birthday here, Happy Birthday Dad!
Ty wore Daddy's boots for a bit, great fashion sense.
Here D is getting comfy in his reading drawer. What, you don't have a reading drawer?
Mom made this adorable romper for D. Nice Christmas outfit!
But wait, Hanner made this one, also cute! Nice to have 2 crafty grandmothers.
Such a sweet face.

Just a few shots from Christmas. Apparently D had to concentrate a lot. He is very focused. Except at the end when he was being his usual ham self.

Happy New Year!
